One of the major community service projects that were developed by PCLI is Poway Spirit Day. This will serve as an opportunity to improve Poway homes and the whole Poway community by painting the Poway Senior Center, clearing trails, and finishing all the other enhancements projects for the betterment of the community.

Meanwhile, Steve Vaus has been chosen to be the executive director of PLCI for the upcoming year. Vaus said that he is excited about being involved with the PLCI and added that this is going to be a great way to develop new leaders in the community.

On the other hand, the participants who will attend the seminars can get an overview and in-depth understanding about how the city runs and how the schools and health system function. After the participants have attended the seminar, they are must attend several meetings such as City Council meeting, Rotary Club of Poway meeting, and PUSD school board meeting.

In addition to these, all the participant graduates of the seminar are required to volunteer in the community, said Vaus.
