Busy Days Ahead In Poway Homes

After the successful Saturday's Poway Patriotic Parade, the tone is set for more activities during the upcoming Poway Days event this September weekend. Everyone one is becoming ecstatic about all the activities lined up for this weekend in Poway homes.

This weekend will feature many family-friendly events that everyone will surely enjoy. The activities are as follows: a family-style hobo campfire sing along that will happen at Old Poway Park and to start at 7 p.m. this Friday, an old-fashioned barn dance in Templar's Hall to start at 7 p.m. Saturday, a MotorHead Madness and the Battle of the Bands to add up in Saturday's events. Another event this coming Saturday and Sunday is the "Rendezvous", the event will start from 10 in the morning up till' 4 in the afternoon at Old Poway Park.

To know more about the events, here are some brief details of each:

The free hobo campfire sing-along will include s'mores, music, and family fun that will feature Poway Folk Circle and storyteller Charles Johnson at 14134 Midland Road. For more details and information about this event, you can call at 858-668-4576. And the barn dance that will be held at Templar's Hall this Saturday is also at 14134 Midland Road.

The Motorhead Madness is a free classic car show for Poway homes. residents who are car enthusiasts. This Saturday's event will be held at 13933 Poway Road, from 10 a.m. till' 2 p.m., in which proceeds of the event will go to Poway Soroptimist projects.

Meanwhile, the Battle of the Bands will feature great local bands all over Poway including Poway homes. This event will start at 5 p.m. this Saturday and will also include casino games and rides by a mechanical bull. This will happen at Poway Valley Riders Association grounds which will be in 14336 Twin Peaks Road. Admission to this event is $5 for those who are aged 21 and over.

Sunday's event, the annual trail ride will begin at 9 a.m. that features a leisurely ride. Riders can join the poker play along the trail. This will start at Poway Valley Riders Association grounds at 14336 Tierra Bonita Road. Tickets are for $20. You can visit www.powayrodeo.com for more information.

And the Rendezvous, Civil War soldiers and the early days of Native Americans, fur traders, and living history reenactments about mountain men will be from 10 in the morning till' 4 in the afternoon that will be both on Saturday and Sunday at Old Poway Park. The admission is free.

There are plenty of reasons to be excited for this weekend. Make sure that you drop by these places and have a good time with all the activities offered by the Poway community.
